For artist-turned-founder Jenn Thatcher, the inspiration for Zebra began in a hospital waiting room. In 2018, her young son was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Though she had always raised her family on organic food and natural cleaning products, the experience forced her to ask deeper questions about the hidden chemicals in everyday items. What she discovered was unsettling: many so-called “natural” products were anything but.

“I believe in American Excellence. Our products are made better, supporting our families and economy. Zebra stands for black and white and transparency.”

Determined to raise the bar, Jenn launched Zebra in 2023 with a clear mission: create clean, safe products made in America, without compromise. From toothpaste and floss to deodorant, each formula is built around a principle as bold as the brand name itself. Ingredients should be black and white, never hidden in fine print.

The road was anything but easy. Jenn parted ways with two manufacturers who tried to cut corners, one even firing her after she insisted on transparency down to the farmer producing essential oils. Time and money were lost, but integrity was never negotiable. For Jenn, American excellence means doing the harder thing, the right way. With her husband, a military veteran, by her side, sourcing and producing in the U.S. became a point of pride as much as principle.

The results speak for themselves. Thousands of customers report healthier teeth and gums after switching to Zebra’s toothpaste. Sensitivities vanish, cavities improve, and even receding gums have shown signs of healing. Unlike mainstream competitors filled with SLS, hydroxyapatite, artificial colors, and foaming agents, Zebra products are designed to heal, not harm.

Looking forward, Jenn envisions Zebra as more than a personal care brand. It is a testimony to faith, resilience, and the belief that American-made products can be the gold standard for quality and transparency. As Jenn puts it, “It’s better here. Zebra was founded on the idea that ingredients should be black and white.”

At its heart, Zebra isn’t just about toothpaste or deodorant. It’s about loving God’s people by giving them products that protect their health and reflect their worth. Visit their website at yayzebra.com.
