Apple Valley Natural Soap grew out of a mother’s search for better answers. Long before owning the brand, Marianne Buck was trying to solve a simple but persistent problem—dry, problematic skin affecting both her children and herself. Though she was already buying natural products, she found many were expensive and not as clean as their labels suggested. She believed there had to be a better way.
That belief led Marianne to begin making her own products in 2010 under the name Symphony Naturals, focusing on natural skincare that truly nourished and restored. Her journey into natural health deepened after her eldest daughter experienced a vaccine injury at age four—a moment that reshaped how Marianne viewed food, ingredients, and the everyday products used on the body. What followed was a decades-long commitment to removing toxins and choosing ingredients with intention.
Along the way, Marianne became a customer of Apple Valley Natural Soap, then owned by a fellow homeschooling mother. She fell in love with the simplicity and effectiveness of natural soaps and shampoo bars that worked for both skin and hair—products that were practical, nourishing, and cost-effective. When the opportunity arose to purchase the company, Marianne and her husband spent months in prayer before stepping forward. In 2018, they officially acquired Apple Valley Natural Soap, later folding Symphony Naturals into the brand.
Today, Apple Valley Natural Soap offers a full line of handcrafted soaps for skin and hair, natural body care, and skincare products, all made with the same standards that first drew Marianne in. Every product is handmade in Minnesota, using carefully vetted natural and organic ingredients. The Minnesota-based team includes mothers balancing work and homeschooling and young adults learning the rhythms of small business who all share the same values.
