Description: Did the long arm of the law catch you speeding? Do you need to take a defense driving course to reduce your insurance rates? If so JCC now offers the course online. Its a convenient way for you to access the test. In collaboration with the American Safety Council, JCC is pleased to provide the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles defensive driving course online. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Online Defensive Driving Course provides the same benefits as the classroom version with a 10% reduction off the base rate of a motorists liability and collision insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points off a motorists driving record. Motorists have up to 30 days from their registration date to complete the course and have the option of logging in and out as many times needed until course completion. On December , 2010, the City of Watertown will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season. Starting at 5:00 pm, Mayor Jeffrey Graham and other officials will take part in a celebration of the holiday season. A schedule follows:
- 5:00 pm-IHC Junior & Senior High School Choir
- 5:30 pm-Vocal Point
- 6:00 pm-Light display will be turned on by the Mayor
Free mulled cider and hot chocolate will be served courtesy of the Downtown Business Association and the Watertown Local Development Corp. Santa will also be on the island in Public Square. These lights will dance to eight different songs that will be broadcast on speakers, every half hour from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm each night. During the rest of the time the lights will remain stactic-with all lights on. This display will run from December 2, 2010 thourgh January 3, 2011.
