The Paddock Club is located in the Historic Paddock Arcade on the west side of Public Square in down town Watertown and is open seven evenings a week from 4 to 12 Sunday – Thursday & 4 to 2 Friday & Saturday.

Since taking ownership of the Paddock Club in the fall of 2005, Robert Dalton has transformed this quaint little one room bar into an upscale three room night club. He started with a dozen different martinis and now has an extensive menu of fifty-six delicious martinis and cosmopolitans, along with margaritas, mojitos, and any cocktail you could wish for. There is even a menu of a dozen or so cleverly named shooters served up in lighted shot glasses.  He uses all top shelf liquors and wines. He has thirty plus bottled beers and three draft beers on tap. There are drink specials each day and on Sunday he recently started a Bloody Mary Buffet where you add favorite ingredients to make your Bloody Mary just the way you like it. There are always seasonal drinks such as Tom & Jerrys at Christmas, served with fancy pirouette cookies. In the fall, there are pumpkin spice and apple cider martinis.

During Happy Hour, you can help yourself to tasty munchies served in oversized martini glasses on the bar and tables or nachos with hot cheese sauce. Fresh made hot popcorn is always available. Customers often bring or order food to be delivered to the Paddock. With the opening of Johnny D’s restaurant right in the Arcade, there will be a full menu featuring fresh cut fries, wings and burgers right down the hall.

It is a great place to host a party for any occasion or event. With three rooms and extra tables set up in the Arcade for the overflow, the Paddock can accommodate a very large crowd.

The original bar room has four televisions including a large flat screen. They each have beautiful frames surrounding the screens, giving them a sophisticated look. There is a comfortable window seat with plush pillows and several pub tables in both the bar and middle room. Lovely artwork, elegant mirrors, gorgeous Tiffany light fixtures & lamps, candle lights and working fireplaces give every room a soothing glow. Drapery and curtain fabrics are rich and wall coverings are classic. The flooring has the look of original hardwood. Several home-grown dried hydrangea bouquets seem too perfect to be real. Everything in the Paddock is meticulously clean and polished. The middle room looks like a den plucked out of a beautiful mansion with twin leather couches in front of a gorgeous fireplace, an antique buffet and high book shelves. There are also red leather Queen Anne chairs and settee in this sumptuous room. An original brick wall separates the middle room from the third room. This last room added in June of 2007 has a generous stage for bands, a huge dance floor and sound activated light show. A window area has a raised floor with a cozy living room set. An antique church pew provides additional seating against the wall facing the stage. The jukebox and a dart board provide music and fun on nights when there are no bands. There are speakers which are wired to the stereo in the bar room for your dancing and listening pleasure.

The Paddock Club is a great place to soothe your senses after a stressful day. The soft music and cozy atmosphere encourage conversation. The crowd of regulars is friendly and welcoming. Later in the evening, on weekends, the Paddock shifts into high gear. With the popular Jell-O shots and the drinks flowing, the best bands in this area have the crowd dancing and singing to their music. You can watch the festivities in the band room on the large flat screen TV in the bar.  On special occasions like Halloween, Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas and New Years Eve the Paddock Club is tastefully decorated sparing no expense. Robert Dalton knows how to throw a party! There is no other place like it in the North Country. Just when you think Robert Dalton has thought of everything, he comes up with something new and wonderful. His attention to detail is unsurpassed.

Robert Dalton has thoughtfully built his business with confidence that downtown Watertown will return to the popular destination it once was. With more shops and restaurants opening in and around the Square, His Dreams are proving true. In 2006, the Downtown Business Association honored him with the DBA business of the year.
